Post Apocalyptic Gaming

Post-Apocalyptic Fiction has been an interest of mine for some time.  More intriguing to me though is the way that societies collapse - the apocalypse itself, and the events that occur in response to it.  Readers of Stephen King's The Stand will be familiar with his excellent characterization of how the world as we know it ended as a result of the SuperFlu.

It's those kinds of events and chain reactions that this section of my web site is focused on.  As a gamer, I've always wanted to take part in a series of adventures set during the time of chaos that marks the end of the world.  In many works of fiction (sources?), the apocalypse is really more of a decline that plays out over a long period of time.  Long decay periods tend to make such scenarios unplayable from a gaming perspective, as they sometimes take multiple life-spans to play out.

I've started a reading list of books dealing with Apocalyptic genre.
