The Five People You Meet In Heaven

My Thoughts
This is a great short read. Plus the author is from Detroit, and I listen to him every now and again on his radio show. It's refreshing to hear a "personality" who has a strong sense of fair play and ethics, and possesses a non-stereotypical depth.
The book is about "Eddie Maintenance", a guy whose seemingly mundane, blue-collar life is actually an entire universe of interconnectedness. The author's point that you don't have to be a somebody to be somebody is well taken.
I also like his conceptualization of Heaven - interesting enough to be thought provoking, not so religious as to cause overmuch controversy. The interconnectedness is a key theme, and one that is well-told.
I highly recommend it - it's not a long book, but it will stick with you.
